Princeton Music Lessons (FAQ)
We are so excited that you are considering working with Princeton Music Lessons! We are sure you have some questions as you explore options for what teacher and/or music school is the best fit for you or your family. See below for the most FAQ. Please feel to email info@princetonmusiclessons.com if you have any addtional questions.
What if I don't live in Princeton, NJ?
It depends! Our teachers live throughout Central, NJ and the current areas we serve include West Windsor, NJ, Plainsboro, NJ, Hillsborough, NJ, Skillman, NJ, Montgomery, NJ, Bordentown, NJ, Yardley, PA, and more. Some of our teachers live closer or farther to certain towns--so it partly depends on the instrument that you want to learn and the instructors home location and availability.

We do also offer virtual lessons if you are outside of the radius that we serve.
What ages do you teach music lessons to?
We teach private music lessons to students starting around age 5. Some of our students are 70+ and loving it! It's never too late to learn! We will sometimes accept students younger than age 5, but it depends on what goals the parents have in mind.
Do you have a studio?
The short answer is no--we come to students homes to conduct lessons. However, a few of our instructors do have home studios that we have approved for use.
Do you offer group classes?
As of now, we don't typically offer group lessons. However, we address these requests on a case by case basis. If you have a group of students that you would like one of our instructors to hold a class for, this is something we have done before. Feel free to email us about this!
Do you have a curriculm?
Each of our teachers has a unique approach. We are very careful about who we hire to work with Princeton Music Lessons (PML), and during the interview process have a series of questions that ensure that all candidates are highly experienced. Part of the PML philosophy is to inspire a love and authentic interest in music for all of our students. While all of our students always make progress towards whatever goals they have, we do not push a competitive attitude in our students or teachers. We always follow the students lead in terms of developing an approriate curriculm.
